INJURY DATE: 11/11/11

Early Friday morning on November 11th 2011, I was riding a bike home from a friend's house when I was hit by a car and left on the side of the road. I had broken my right leg and my C4-C5 vertebrae leaving me paralyzed and only able to move my left arm. I heard about Race To Walk within the first year of my injury I started there as soon as I could.

In the time since I started going Race To Walk, the trainers there have helped me make an extraordinary amount of progress in my recovery. I've learned to be more independent and I've gotten a whole lot stronger. I've also been able to achieve many of my goals and even set new ones to further the progress of my recovery. The trainers have definitely helped change the way I approach the many challenges I encounter on the day-to-day basis.
