Restorative Therapies RT300 Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) Bike

The RT300 combines a motorized cycle ergometer with integrated functional electrical stimulation (FES). This FES bike stimulates the muscles of the leg to contract and create a repetitive patterned movement (cycling). Gait patterning is a key component in neuromuscular re-education.

The potential benefits for individuals with neurological disorders include the prevention of muscle atrophy, relaxation of muscle spasms, increased circulation, and increased or maintenance of range of motion.

Power Plate® Vibration Training

The Power Plate uses three-dimensional vibration technology to help activate muscle contractions and improve body awareness. The benefits include increased circulation, muscle strength and flexibility. Additional potential benefits are improved range of motion, increased bone mineral density, and decreased recovery time. Client feedback includes increased sensation and voluntary contraction of muscles, as well as changes in spasticity.

Easy-Stand® Standing Frame & Standing Glider

The Evolve® Passive Standing Frame has been shown to prevent, reverse, or improve many of the adverse affects of prolonged immobilization. The most widely accepted medical benefits of standing include increasing joint range of motion, reducing the risk of pressure sores, improvement of blood pressure regulation, and the maintenance of bone mineral density.

The EasyStand 6000 Glider is an active stander that provides reciprocal movement of the arms and legs while standing. In addition to passive standing benefits, it provides active range of motion of hips, knees, and ankles while strengthening the upper extremities.

Total Gym® GTS Clinical Models

The Total Gym® machines are one of our most frequently used pieces of equipment. It allows the client’s body to be in an upright weight bearing position with 10-65% of the body’s weight loading through the feet. A variety of common exercises including squats, pull up and dips can be adapted to meet our client’s needs and abilities.

GiddyUp® Core Exerciser

The Giddy UP® Core Exerciser simulates the dynamic movements of horseback riding which challenges the balance and stability of the deep core muscles that are often affected due to injury or disuse.
